John began reenacting in 2009 and joined the Clan in 2010. He was named a Tacksman in 2022 and serves as the Chieftain’s loyal lieutenant.
He also frequently takes on Quartermaster duties at events and has amassed a small arsenal of original and reproduction 18th century cookware.
He has also portrayed a Patriot militiaman in the Southern Campaign of the American Revolution and has ancestral links to clans Robertson, Hay, MacIver, MacKay, Bruce, and Stewart with an ancestor who “turned out” in the 1715 Jacobite Rebellion.
